The Clinical Data Exchange application is a state NEMSIS repository for collecting, analyzing and reporting pre-hospital patient care data submitted by EMS agencies. With this solution, agencies, regional EMS officials and state administrators can view and analyze a variety of reports within the Web interface for benchmarking and and identifying quality improvement initiatives.
CDX automatically sends data to third-party systems so patient care data can be collected, analyzed, and reported on by all necessary entities within the EMS system. Aggregating patient data in this manner helps support the continuation of care and the proper reporting of run records to the state.
Analyzing submissions by a given department in CDX is made simple with Submission Reports. These reports can be quickly generated to let applicable persons view submission statuses of select events and ePCRs. Depending on system configuration, Submission Reports can be created to view departments with late, partial, or missing submissions
With CDX, departments can create their own unique business rules that determine the fields required for completion in the ePCR. Depending on local requirements and NEMSIS guidelines, an unlimited number of business rules can be generated for the purpose of making run record documentation more efficient, accurate and logical.
With CDX, both Standard and Automated notifications can be sent to system users. Such notifications can be sent for any purpose and in either a preset or custom format. With most notifications, it is possible to specify when and how often a notification is sent; for example, a notification can always be sent just before a deadline or immediately after invalid submissions.
